The Marine Technology group works together with NTNU on application of underwater vehicles in Arctic operations. The harsh conditions and heavy logistics make the Arctic suited for increased levels of system autonomy. We work to enable the vehicle to make better decisions and to increase the vehicle’s awareness of its surroundings. This can enable the vehicles to go in under the ice. During our work we collaborate with scientists from archaeology, biology, and geology in multidisciplinary project to test results in the field.
